'Silent Foundations’
Silent Foundations is part of an ongoing series of charcoal works that explore the deserted houses scattered across the Irish countryside. Through stark, intricate details, each piece evokes the deep silence of long-forgotten homes, where cracked stone walls and sagging roofs bear witness to the immense struggles of past lives. Using the raw, monochromatic medium of charcoal these crumbling structures are brought to life, immersing the viewer in the melancholic beauty of rural landscapes left behind. It is a meditation on impermanence, landscape, and the passage of time.
